You want a tank mate for a bass?
I have a largemouth bass that came out of a dried pond 4 years ago. He is in an aquarium 75 gallon and is now about 17 ". It was a great pet fish and fish is smarter than I had (he can recognize different people in our house). The problem is that I have something I wanted to keep at least something over there with him as he has plenty of room, but due to its large size, layout aggressive, and is able to eat large fish and frogs, not much is safe from him anymore short of another bass. There are a lot of coverage, and live aquatic plants stones and wood, but even the most secret fish appears to be located within a few days. His is territorial, but would not be enough room for 2 low. If I were to get one of similar size, they fight? How territorial are they?
Honestly, who has already answered your own question. I always kept aquariums large (125 +) and I in worship (fisherman for life under). However, I really do not think it will be able to put anything with it. At least not for long. I also recommend against any kind of pleco or catfish. The probl; em with the bass will eat anything. And something like a pleco, unless it is enormous compared with it (and if it is 17 "then the answer is probably no bigger than him) one night in all its glory, power, try to eat the top pleco, and the body of a pleco bone or bones of a cat, that could well kill the process. Over the years I've been dying several big fish with a pleco or some other fish skewers it in your mouth to the point that you can not do anything, but slowly waste away or become infected. I love bas in aquariums, keeping it as your pet is and what worship. Of course, some people think it is cruel, but if you give it a real pleasure, throwing an adult mouse (maybe even a big rat!). As the rat is swimming to the safety of the enhale serious at once, but love to chace the moment before they catch their prey! Long live the loudmouth!
