It's a 30 gallon aquarium too heavy for a kitchen counter?

I'm thinking of putting your tank against us, but do not want to make sure would not be too hard on the counter.

It should be fine. If you are concerned, look in the cabinets under the counter and see where supports are more. A corner is a good bet. If you get 2 full grown people walking in their counter-top you can see that does not collapse, and it really should not yield or yield in the slightest.
