How long it takes to plant a 90 gallon tank with media from a 20 gallon aquarium? 10 points for best answer?

I took a filter for my 20 gallon tank with three fish gradually acclimated to the temperature of pond water, and then placed inside the filter in 90-gallon. Pond only has a goldfish in it. How long does it take to seed? The 90-gallon tank was last summer and has goldfish been there since it was made. even survived the crazy winter we had. (But there was no filter so far, once I was able to buy a good filter for it. Piece the media has been in my 20 gallons at least 4 months old. 20 gallons is fully cycle

Definitely not be a cycle instantaneously some people think. Since planting the tank of a tank of a smaller size, then the tank is likely to go through a normal cycle, except that it can be accelerated several days since you and a colony of bacteria and is able to divide. If you can not wait and want to add fish to your pond, you can buy some living aquatic bacteria. Stay away from products that tell you to add a weekly or added with each water change (such as Seachem stability, stress API-Zyme, Cycle, etc..) These products are probably terrestrial bacteria, which means that they survive on land, but they die quickly in water. That's why you should follow summing the products or you will get an ammonia / nitrite spike.
