Angry Betta tank?

I can put a background (dark green) in my 10 gallon which is similar to habitat betta i thought …. green plants and all. He attacks heater going crazy ……. I can remove the background and replace the yellow towel and seems much calmer ??????? Do not want the background

Not come from plants lush greenery. He comes from fields in shallow brown rice. Either way, I doubt it has anything to do with color. It is likely something in the green sign that attracts him or makes you curious. The yellow could not have the same effect, but you can stick with it.
