How does a freshwater aquarium has shaped history

freshwater aquarium history dates back over 4,000 years ago, when ancient Sumerians southern Iraq, conceived the idea of building the first fish ponds by man. Other ancient civilizations who brought fish in ponds are the Assyrians and Egyptians. In Europe, the Romans kept sea catfish tanks marble, while the Hongwu Emperor of China kept goldfish in porcelain tubs in 1369. Fish were kept in tanks and tubs for food and entertainment for the upper class in ancient society.

In 1841, Dr. Nathaniel Bagshaw Ward used Wardian appropriate for tropical animals, which were bred fish, toys and aquatic plants. The glass case was originally used in his experiment of ferns. Also was used to transfer the ferns and grasses from England to Australia and became the forerunner of the terrarium.

The basic concept and design of the Wardian case became the inspiration for the aquarium today. Botanists and biologists began the idea of keeping the plants and animals in an enclosure to to observe inside whenever they want. Anna Thynne of London created the first balanced marine aquarium when nearly three years, she maintained stony corals and algae.

The idea of a balanced aquarium was developed in the late 1800's. The guiding principle is that a symbiotic relationship between fish and aquatic plants can be doubled in an aquatic ecosystem in miniature. This was a pivitol point that became so significant that it is still in use today.

English naturalist Philip Henry Gosse was credited as the person to use the word "aquarium" and was in his time became very popular aquarium in the United Kingdom. Filtration and heating became popular with the advent of common electricity and this allowed the creation of various types of equipment aquariums as water heaters and pumps. Other key improvements have played an important role in the history of freshwater aquarium was the development of the plastic shipping bag in the 1950's. It was sending the fish more easily allows the transfer and exchange of different varieties of fish from many places. Before plastic bags were used, transport of fish were using jars made of various materials.

The aquarium tank itself greatly improved since the marble tank Roman times to the tailored MacQuarium, an aquarium built from the shell of an Apple Macintosh computer. In the Victorian era, tanks were made by a combination of wood and glass front sealed by resin type. Robert Warren created the first tank made entirely of glass. Today, glass is still used tank material, but in recent years introduced acrylic years. It is a transparent thermoplastic that is resistant to shocks and lighter than glass. A material that combines strength and clear acrylic glass is laminated glass and the aquarium that is becoming popular worldwide.

Tropical fish have also been successfully bred with varieties of fantasy that are more colorful and attractive.
