A short pipe air my quiet air pump?

I recently bought an EHEIM air pump to provide a constant air flow friendly with my tank. It works very well and that pretty quiet, but I hope it's even quieter – though I'm not sure if these steps even make a difference. Are there experienced aquarium owners know? 1) Shorten the length of air hose from pump to tank. 2) Lift pump is superior to half a meter higher than the tank (not directly on it.) 3) Cover somewhat sound-proof, if not too hot. It is also open to suggestions, any ideas? Thank you very much in advance: D

hey, there isn't really nothing you can do to calm then the noise. shorten the legth wont work the same amount of air still has to be pumped through the water to maintain the correct level of oxygen for the tank and the fish. increase I can not do anything different and if you covers it runs the risk of overheating (EHEIM are very good, if your way to take back a lot of noise, as it may be defective and are usually very EHEIM quiet) my only other idea would be to put some rubber on the base of the pump (dampens sound), a pinch (I had to do with mine)
