Aquarium Glass Beads
What types of rocks can be used in an aquarium?

I know that gravel is purely decorative, and that certain types of rocks should be avoided (like marble). I do not want to use gravel in my aquarium, but I have an idea … Is it safe to use River Rocks in the bottom of the tank? I'm not talking about starting a fund's actual rocks the river, I mean the decorative "river rocks" that come in a mesh bag available in dollar stores and craft shops. And with that, are bright glass beads (usually flat on one side and used in vases) can be used too? Basically I just want to know if the "stones river "purchased at a dollar or craft store can be used.

Marble can be used in your tank, and the "river rock" craftstores bought Wal-Mart and dollar stores. You do not have to boil or simply wash thoroughly with clean water. Glass beads work well, I always seem to notice that be dirty and show the shit you missed the fish in the tank. (Been there done) polished rocks are not painted, they are polished with sand. in a glass. Fish poop too do not float around the tank, even if you do not have gravel in it.
