I'm so tired of my filter is clogged from algae and seaweed that is all glass and stones.?

i clean my tank with regular, changes Water weekly filter change every three weeks (more than even say they change), but I have problems with algae growing all over and each time worse. I have not much good to light the tank gets about 8 hours of light per day, the light is on a timer. is a unit with two bulbs t5. seems worse since that succeeded, but was a problem even with the standard tube lights i had originally. WHAT CAN I DO TO REDUCE ALGAE!

I had the same problem exact i got myself a T5 light and suddenly started growing brown algae like crazy What I did was to obtain plants and a Bristlenose Pleco (but only if at least 30 gallon tank) Since you have the T5, which is strong only for normal lighting, but perfect for plants anubis Test, onion plant and directly sword which helped to reduce my algae in a week, now I have hardly any:) Hope that helps good luck EB
