Are there high-powered saltwater aquarium heating cables?
I wondered if there was some kind of heating cable is … A. High Voltage B. corrosion resistant C. Very Flexible … that could be used in a saltwater aquarium. I ask because for my plant for salt water aquarium, I need a heater that is powerful, and can be moved easily from very small spaces (like pulling a cable through a hole.) Any help would be great. http://www.omega.com/ppt/pptsc.asp?ref=KE_HEATER&Nav=heab01 could this work?
There are things written in the web page that tries to be cut to length in the workplace and asphalt plants, oil refineries, mines, chemical and petrochemical processing areas, which makes me think that this not supposed to be used in fish tanks. It says that its meaning for corrosive environments, but the salt is very corrosive. I do not understand why you need to move the heater around. The water is moving, and the water heater heats all moving to other parts of the tank. So all you need is a heater that is Watt sufficient for the size tank you have. If you have a very large tank, you can put in two separate and space heaters.
