I have an Arowana?
True Blue is a legitimate Arowana, lower 6 "I have a 55 liter tank, measuring 48" long x 13 "wide x 20" high he would be there with a couple of silver dollars of full size. Is this tank big enough? Need partners aquarium more or less? What do you recommend? "The bell can be regulated or I have to have a plexiglass plate with a cement block on top? What do you feed your own (food type)? Not only live feed or too flakes / dry / pellets? Any other recommendations? should have been more specific: I'm getting a 180 gallon this summer, but now is the Arowana. "I can take a 6" royal blue in a 55gal drum for 4-5 months? My Friend works in an aquarium (I will not mention the name and get in trouble) and is getting to me. True Blue is an Australian Arowana and arent sold anywhere.
First, True Blue, from South America not Australia, and are actually black. 180 gallons really is not big enough for them to life need fish. You at least 300 grams to keep you healthy for life. I do not have a population of the pond as if someone else suggested unless it can maintain covered. It sure to jump if you do. To maintain a 55 for a few months should be OK, but I personally would not.I water changes every two days if it does, what is not atrophies, and plan on getting a larger tank than a 180 if I get it. If you feed live food, feed crickets, no power only fish.I would keep the feed pellets and crickets myself. I would get plexiglass and maintain a weight on top of it. You would be better do not get it until a proper size tank for this.
