Aquarium Hydrometer
ADED mixture of sea salt to the aquarium?

I've heard that for every gallon of your tank should be placed about 2 teaspoons of salt Mrin or (if you want to do is salt) per gallon. I already did that, but it is wrong to do that? I just added salt in my 55 gallon and now has 2 teaspoons per gallon. I can put the hydrometer in but doesn't seem to work, why this

assuming its instant marine sea salt which is 1 / 2 cup per gallon to raise the sg to 1,022 so there 24 teaspoons in a half a cup. which means that to get your sg to 1,022 that is 24×55 = 1320 that added 110 teaspoons teaspoons so its not even close to a tank brackish water should be at 1.004 to 1.009 or less. So the figure you want, such as 825 teaspoons or so to get the sg wherever you want. Please I'm sorry doing the math in my head, but I can safely say that 110 teaspoons isn't going to reach 1,009. These numbers are just what the package instant ocean states are never exactly accurate enough so you have to fiddle with it to get the right sg. They always go under and waiting for the salt to dissolve completely and check what the Secretary General is the next day.
