Someone told me I could add iodized table salt for me to cure ick aquarium, guppies and tetras?
Is it true and how much per gallon?
No. Please do not add table salt to the aquarium age, as stated before the iodine will kill fish. What we want is the salt of the aquarium. But first, let me ask you this: Do guppies tetras and as stated? Normally not require any addition of salt to water. You will find a wide range of opinions on this issue as to whether or not ICH cures / ick …. I do not believe so in my opinion. Do some research on the real scourge of ICH / ick and you'll notice a difference 3 days which is born of water and then join a host (fish) is after this process do you see any white spots on fish. Before this happens ICH / ick is suseptable to salt, but when you physically see the white spots is too late to work. So you need to get a drug to add water to cure the infestation. IF you have tetras need to reduce the dose of most drugs (just follow the manufacturer's instructions) I use a product called Quick Cure that is claimed to cure HIC / ick in only 2 days. You still have to treat the tank for 7 days. Remove carbon from your filter as it will be removed what they are putting in. After the infestation of intangible cultural heritage has gone ahead in their next water change can add a little aquarium salt at a rate of 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons of water for a general tonic. Salt reduces stress and improves gill function. I use it in my tanks with Oscar in one and the other with a semi-aggressive community. There is something else that is good for Mollies called Shimmy blocks to help with certain electrolytes in the water for health and general welfare. Good luck.
