Aquarium light the question: What is T5, T8, etc?
I see a lot of bulbs aquarium to say "T5" or "T8" What does this mean? Also, can someone send me a link to a good fluorescent screw in the bulb that is perfect for growing freshwater plants? I hear bulbs 6400K are best for this. The bulb has to be small because I have an incandescent hood with a plastic shield to keep the lamp becomes wet, unfortunately this also limits the diameter of the bulb can be. I can help with some of this …. The T designation refers to the diameter fluorescent tube in eighths of an inch.
