What is a "Mag-Float" cleaner aquaruim and how it works?

Sombody gave me some items Aquarium and one of the items is beige, square with curved edges. have a sense as the material on one side. Says "Mag-Float" floating aquarium cleaner magnet. Can someone tell me what it is and how to use it. Is this whole thing or is it one piece of a set? Thanks to all contributors. I'm a little embarrassed I wonder .. I have a 55 gallon tank with one 8 'Female Jack Dempsey I got out of one frying. I have excellent filtration over, I know of pH and water chemistry water temperature. etc, but I can not understand what this "Mag-Float" is and does .. hehe
