marine fish tank – the water used?

Hi, I've been given a Juwel Rio 125 marine tank with 4 fish within two clown fish and two fish damesel. I that the person who gave me the tank completely lost interest in it and for a time, for which the tank is very dirty! In the carriage of the tank we keep water that was in it, but it green, I can not believe that the fish survive in this type of environment. Now I'm looking to clean the tank, but I have much experience with marine fish, this is my first aquarium. I bought some magnetic sponges and clean the sides of the aquarium. Now my big problem is water. What should I do? I read somewhere part I can not use tap water to a marine tank. but Is it okay to use something like Evian water and add salt btl that has given me a box of sea salt to the tank. get a BRITA water filter and use water. that will eliminate most of the impurities. will be mixed with salt water and check salinity and temperature before adding. when I make my own water, let the mixture of a day and then check the salinity and temperature and then add. good luck!
