fish are dying! home aquarium fish?

Mine is a month old aquarium 6. almost 7 out of 14 fish have died and am unable to help. I have tetra fish, gold fish, crocodile fish. wud like to know the following: 1. Why new fish die even after having been added to the water age were purchased and after 4 months.?
