sand from a reptile tank? PLEASE ANSWER!?

what kind of sand do you recommend for a tank of sea water. Gravel is a bit boring me and I would like to try something new. I do not know what would be less likely to be absorbed by the filter and shake around so easy. Please help?

No sand at all. It's a bad idea. Anything small enough for the turtle to eat is bad. They have been known to choke or get bowel obstructions gravel or sand in the tank. Moreover, the sand is very difficult to clean. Turtles are messy and poop pretty big. Then it breaks and becomes a viscous, if not out of that day. I could never keep enough clean sand. If the gravel is boring you can go with something else that is more decorative. It is much more expensive but You can buy the kind of natural stone riverbed. If you go with the larger stones and rocks that will cost more, but it looks very nice.
