Aquarium Salt Water
How I can set up a saltwater aquarium efficient?

I want to create a saltwater aquarium with my 28 gallon bow front. What do I need to get and what I need to do to get one going that will last?

It is a very rewarding hobby. Here are some things that helped me. 1. A Test Kit: fundamental to success, especially with a small tank that you need at least something that will test for ammonia, nitrates, nitrites, pH and hardness. Consider a test RO phosphate if you do not plan to use the water (desirable but not essential). If you plan to keep the evidence from corals for calcium and magnesium are also very useful. Test plan for each week until you are familiar with the parameters of your tank. 2. A good mix salt water, heater and a powerhead. Get a plastic container for safe food, store it in a garage. Mix the salt water in accordance with the instructions, put in the oven to approximate the temperature the tank and let the head of enforcement power. Use the water atleast 8 hours after the head shot of power. That is completely dissolved and more when tested salinity, will be more stable. 3. Live rock. This, along with live sand is the most critical component of the IMO. You do not have to buy expensive than rock, but can "Seed" of aragonite sand and rock common base (much cheaper, but requires more patience). Just bought the aragonite base rock and sand, wash and rinse Carefully, put in your tank and ask your fish store for a handful of their land (called tank of filth, grunge and dirt) and coralline algae-covered rock in your local fish store. They will provide this for free. Mix in the tank when it is running for a few days at the correct temperature and salinity. 4. Tank heater, filter rating for a tank three times its size and as soon as you can afford a slotted spoon. Some people say skimmers are not necessary for a tank this small, but I discovered that my small tanks are much more stable when using a slotted spoon. When launched, it is possible that mistakes like I did-over food is the number one. Skimmers prevent your tank from crashing due to overload of nutrients. 5. If you plan to keep corals, you may want to look into lighting. Metal halide lamps may be excessive for a small tank. Consider energy pacts or VHOs that will keep the corals, but not generate much heat. If you do not plan to keep corals, lights are obviously important. Still keeping a timer and no more than 8 hours a day if there are corals. Algae helps limit. 6. Bioburden Limited: Fill your tank slightly. Research fish species. A spike yellow, although small, and when very young requires a 90-gallon to a minimum (125 ideally) and will not be happy in your tank, but a false percula, or a lemon goby can be happy in your tank for life. The less fish you have, less maintenance and easier on the nerves. Even small fish such as mandarin starve to death in tanks small, requiring a specialized diet. We also support research. Be wary of sites that sell fish to give an accurate estimate of minimum aquarium size (they want to buy after all.) Consider a site like www.wetwebmedia.com place. Bonus-if you have any questions, your team is impressive to answer your questions clearly and honestly. 7. A schedule: I can not overemphasize how much it has helped me when I spent a few hours a week for work dedicated aquarium. You will have to change 10% of their weekly wash water, your tank with an algae scraper if necessary (snails keep this below) and proof of water parameters. Every day, you will have to finish the water loss due to evaporation with fresh (not salt) water and food for fish once or twice day. Your tank is so large that it is not hard work, but set a time and devote 10 minutes a day and 1 / 2 hour per week to maintain the tank will produce great benefits. First Timer problems: 1. Impatience: I was in a hurry to fill all my fish at a time. BIG MISTAKE! The aquarium has to go through a cycle of establishing colonies of beneficial bacteria to process waste. Some people cycle and other hardy fish with pure ammonia, but I threw in a dash of food fish in a tank with visible life wilderness. (Only rock, sand and mud fish store) and the ammonia test. When ammonia decreased, I tested for nitrates. When this reduced, I added to my "clean up crew (snails, crabs, not only because they can kill the snails) and finally introduced Slowly my fish, the most peaceful Fiesty first and the last. I was not aggressive fish. 2. More reaction: The tank is going to be algae. Keep calm. Keep the lights on for shorter periods, reducing the amount of food and phosbane add the filter if phosphate levels are high. 3. The lack of people to answer the questions: Aside from wetwebmedia.com, city or region is likely to have an aquarium society. There are also plenty of forums online, where you can ask for advice or assistance. Many of these resources are free and provide invaluable service to the new aquarist. 4. Not knowing when to cut corners: I prefer to buy the rock foundation and devote more time to let it become "live" to purchase the expensive rock. I do the sample
