Aquarium Saltwater

Aquarium to brighten your world

Having an aquarium is a fun hobby for many, and it brings so much color and life to the room that is located in. Before you go shopping one, you need to decide if this is a casual or serious hobby, and how long you are willing to put in maintaining the water balance of the tank.

There are two main types of aquariums, saltwater and freshwater aquarium. saltwater fish, of course, survive in a saltwater environment, while freshwater fish need fresh purified water. Obviously, if you put fresh water fish in a saltwater tank is not going to survive, such as saltwater fish need salt water environment and that "suffocate" in fresh water.

The freshwater aquarium is easier to maintain than saltwater aquarium, and its creation is quite simple, all that is needed is a filter, heater, thermometer and light. You have to let the tank bike about four weeks to grow the bacteria cycle, and to keep ammonia levels down. Drinking water should not contain chlorine or ammonia, since ammonia is deadly to fish because it makes breathing very difficult.

Once the tank is established you can start with small fish species, until they gain more experience, after which you can move to higher fish species.

The saltwater aquarium is more complex to maintain and requires more maintenance and work hard. With saltwater tank salt water should be regulated together with its level of pH and temperature. You must also place live rock in saltwater aquarium for about two months to get the cycle of the bacteria in place, as the rocks are the good bacteria present on its surface. Once the level of bacteria has been accumulated, then configure the filter. Since then the tank is ready for saltwater fish.

For more color and variation in their saltwater tank, you can add corals or anemones. They are living plants that have to be fed by hand, placing the food on top of them and then curl their tentacles around the food and bring food into his mouth.

Do not tank saltwater fish-eating anemones, or larger fish eat smaller fish. Some saltwater fish are also poisonous, so be careful. Saltwater aquariums are only for serious, since it takes a lot of work to get the water conditions just right, namely salt water temperature and pH should be at a safe level.

Regardless of what type of aquarium you choose, you are bound to brighten up your room and are much more vibrant.
