cleaning the sand of the aquarium with a suction tube?

I will be establishing a new aquarium (50 bis) and I would try to sand the bottom. I was told that it can be difficult to clean, as the sand reaches the funnel trap used to take the trash out of the tank (unlike rocks, which are generally not suck the tube). They also told me that if you choose the path of sand, you'd need to get a cleaning product that attaches to a faucet the kitchen (the one I use is a laptop that works well with gravel). Can anyone clarify this for me? Sandy is actually harder to clean than gravel? Am need to get a new vacuum tube (which connects to a faucet)? Above all – looks like it might need the type of faucet, which I prefer not to buy.

I highly advise against connecting the trap to the sink! The sand and garbage disposals do not mix! No matter how careful you are, you will get some sand sucked every water change. My advice, take the trap off his head when cleaning. Place the hose near the beach, but not touch. Then, after have gotten all the "dirt" on top, stir it up.
