Tips for keeping freshwater aquarium
Our priority to keep an aquarium in our homes is the welfare of fish and invertebrates that we maintain. And the first step to consider while preparing a list of aquarium accessories required for the welfare of the occupants of the aquarium is kept fresh the aquarium environment, especially for marine aquariums. The ideal temperature for most fish aquarium is only between 76 degrees and 82 degrees Fahrenheit. If you only have fish in the aquarium and the aquarium is stored properly with aquarium supplies, then you only need a temperature drop between 2 and 6 degrees. This depends on the type of aquarium keeping and lowering the temperature necessary to cool the tank.
With fish, it is not always the high temperature that kills. Many fish die in tanks too hot normal levels due to low dissolved oxygen (DO) in water. The warmer the water, lower dissolved oxygen (OD) to be carried out.
Here are some tips to stay calm water aquarium for your little friends to survive for long.
1. If the aquarium is well covered, open the cover on your tank, and nylon instead of compensation over the openings to prevent fish from jumping out. This allows heat to escape. You can contribute to this process even more by the direction of flow of air from a small fan on top of the tank.
2. Close the curtains the windows of the room. Even indirect sunlight will raise the temperature by a degree or two, and everything helps. You can also reduce the amount of time lighting aquarium. The tank lights contribute greatly to higher water temperature. Do not leave lights all the time though. That's bad for the fish too! If you have a planted freshwater aquarium that requires at least 8 hours of light per day, you may have no choice but to buy an air conditioner or a refrigerator to solve their heat problem.
3. Aerate the aquarium tanks with a strong air pump! This will help increase the exchange of gases to water surface, thereby helping to raise levels of dissolved oxygen. It also helps the exchange of heat at the surface.
4. Do not unplug your heater aquarium! This is a common mistake that often backfires. An aquarium heater is working correctly turn off when the tank is at the proper temperature. Disconnect the heater could cause the temperature drops too far into the night in hot weather conditions during the day but cool at night and windows in the room are kept open aquarium.
5. If your computer is in a locked cabinet aquarium standing under of the tank, open closet doors and put a fan airflow in the cabinet to allow heat generated from aquarium pumps to escape
6. Buy an air conditioner! Sometimes this is the only solution. The cost of operating an air conditioner for a few months is a small price to pay to keep our finned friends alive.
