CO2 question. Will a DIY liter bottle of 2 sets to easily find on the net affect a 10 gallon tank?

If you want a rug, consider something like grass Dwarf, Dwarf sag, or the sword of the string – these are extended laterally instead of growing into the light. None of these plants are very dependent on CO2, although it will certainly help, especially if you have a bright light. A 2-liter bottle will work well in a tank small, but you may want to start at half the recommended measures for the yeast, sugar and water, as excess CO2 injection of pH causes an accident faster with the potential to kill fish.
