Aquarium UV Sterilization?

What is a good aquarium ultraviolet sterilizer that is entirely external. Possibly one that can be connected to entrance / exit on the outer tube of a filter housing Ehiem (Thermo)? Also do you think would be overkill for the two with an eco-Aqualizer?
