submersible water pump aquarium?

I found a submersible water pump for small pond or decorations in birdbaths my garage. Is the size of three floors of cards stacked atop each other. Would there be any harm or benefit to put this in a 55 gallon tank FW community?

Well, it depends, do you have any small fish? and how the water cycle at the pump? that needs to be protected so that the fish obviously left DNT catch. before adding in Tho need submerged in a bucket of water and add several teaspoons of salt, which will kill any bacteria that have grown within the pump. let there for a minimum of 24 hours (just to be sure.)
