Ways to improve aquarium decor – how do I make this more interesting??????
I have a 10 gallon aquarium with 1 lyretail molly, 3 rasboras, and 2 white clouds. I’m following a stocking scheme I found in a book and am going for the Asian accent. The rasboras and white clouds are part of it, and I’m going to get 2 gold barbs and 1 or 2 dwarf gouramis. I have natural gravel, two pieces of drift wood, and 4 fake (natural looking) plants. Any ideas on how I could make this tank more interesting??!! I have some aquarium silicone, but am afraid to use it becasue of cleaning. How do you clean stuck-on things? Would you reccoment using the silicone to bind drift wood/rocks together to make a pretty decoration. Any other suggestions to make it unique (please nothing to gaudy – no neon colors). Should I add more plants to make it like a jungle?
And any fish suggestions? I am a begginer aquarist so nothing tooooo hard please!! Thank you so much!!
When you say Asian accent, do you mean like on land Asian stuff? Or more the Asian style of tank decoration?
For the epitome of Asian tank design, all you have to do is go to Google – then Images, then search for “Takashi Amano”
His tanks are works of art. Even if it isn’t what you are after, I think you will enjoy seeing his work.
You may find some inspiration in the pics for things you can do in your tank.
