saltwater fish tank lighting help?
I am new to salt water and need help i recently found a separate metal halide hamilton 175w and a 175 w zucker accessory metal halide and was wounder if one of these lights are good and if it can support the corals that I have an aquarium is 20 grams http://www.plantmansdepot.net/Plantmansdepot/Drygoods_Blog/Entries/2009/9/5_2_x_Used_175w_Zuckers_MH_Pendants_w_Ballast.html http://www.plantmansdepot.net/Plantmansdepot/Drygoods_Blog/Entries/2009/9/5_3_x_Used_175w_Hamilton_MH_Pendants_w_ballast.html light
That light is the powerful way for a 20 gallon tank. Not only become much heat, but can be very expensive. I recommend lighting power compact, like a current CD 2×65 watts. This will put a total of 130 watts, which is sufficient for the corals. Covenants of power are constructed with fans (for keep the equipment cool), legs (to keep the upper system out of the water to avoid heat lights instead), and the moon (which are small LED lights give the appearance of whole night).
