fin putrefaction noticed in my gold fish … You can add more salt?

Is in a 14 gallon with my blind cave fish and have been happy for about 9 months. I can clean the tank very well and trap each week, but recently noticed my filter pump is not working as it should and agitation surface very little. I replaced the pump and gave it a good cleaning and replacing 50% of water. After that I added a tablespoon of aquarium salt. I've been reading some people add more. Any suggestions? Thanks!

In my own experience, the aquarium salt works well when used in conjunction with medication. So addition of salt already added, you may want to consider medicine fin rot in water. Mardel makes a really good. My fantasies just have a mild case of velvet, so I added aquarium salt, I added the next day medicine, and reduce the treatment time in half. Hope this helps.
