Skilter Aquarium Power Filters
Tiny bubbles of water in my protein skimmer?

Some bubbles rise to the collection chamber, but far back into the aquarium. I have a power Skilter filter / skimmer. I was under the impression that the bubble trap vermin and send it to the collection chamber, but this does not help much if the bubble returns to the aquarium, right?

You are right! Bubbles need to go into the collection chamber to remove organic matter from the tank (from Otherwise, it returns to the tank). I know you answered a previous question of yours, but just want to make something – you are using this in a water tank salt, right? protein skimmers do nothing of fresh water. As you have small bubbles (which are necessary to remove organic matter and only realizable in a higher density of salt water), I would think so, but I just want to double check. I have a Skilter to a hospital tank when he first arrived time, but was never impressed with them. On the one hand, tend to escape from where the engine is connected to the filter body – others I know have experienced this too – so if you have not had this experience, however, you may want to look for it. I even had problems after that surrounds it (more than one occasion) with tape silicone. Another reason I do not like is that they are not effective. How can I remove organic compounds has much to do with the height of the column of bubbles (the bubbles more organic matter by the way, the more likely they are to adhere to the surface of a bubble to be removed). good skimmers are at least equal to the tank maintained. Compare that with the height of the column in a Skilter – 1 / 2 to 1 / 3 of the tank height best, depending on what you're using).
