Submersible Aquarium Pump

New Aquarium Setup

If you've done the proper planning for your new aquarium, which has already purchased or otherwise acquired, everything need to configure it, and prepared a place in your home where your family and guests can make the most of it. If not, you should do your research and planning, and then go out and get your computer. Do not let the fish yet. Wait until the tank is configured and working properly. If something goes wrong, no I have to worry about where to live fish, while having to deal with the problem.

Well, let's begin. If you have a new or used tank, you should clean it thoroughly. Avoid soap and chemical cleaners as they may leave a residue that can make fish sick or even kill them. Use clean water and a sponge or brush made specifically for use in aquariums. Fill the tank and check for leaks. It is much easier to deal with a leak now after installing everything. Once you have determined that the tank is well, drain and let dry.

Place the bracket in the location you have selected. Make sure it's stable robust, and level. It is important that the level, otherwise you might end up with a tank leak or rupture. Remember to look for the aquarium in direct sunlight to avoid the excessive growth of algae.

If using an under-gravel filter, rinse, place in the bottom of the tank, and connecting the air hoses according to the instructions that come with the filter. If you are using another type of filter, go to the next step.

If you bought a fund, which apply to outside of the tank now. Take your gravel, and wash in a bucket. Remember that the consequences of commercial cleaning. Use only potable water. Empty the bucket of cleaning tax when it is completed.

Place the gravel in the bottom of the tank, about two inches deep. To spread a little deeper into the back of the tank, and very gradually slopes toward the front.

Assemble and configure the filter (unless you have already installed an under gravel filter). Sure consult the manufacturer's instructions for pre-installation requirements. If you are using an air pump, install that now. If you are using a heater hanging, hung near the
back of the tank, but in a place easily accessible. If you have a submersible heater, installed in the tank under to the manufacturer's instructions. Do not connect anything yet. Attach or hang your thermometer, depending on which type you have.

Now is the time to add the water. Take a clean plate and place it face down in the center of the tank. Fill a bucket with water and carefully pour the water over the top of the plate, which prevents the gravel from being disturbed. Fill the tank almost to the top.

An aquarium should be as natural as possible, both because it is more pleasing to the eye, and because the fish behavior will be closer than they would in their natural habitat. Therefore, you must install some decorations in your aquarium, and now is the time to do it. Pet stores and stores stocks a wide range of aquarium decorations. You should be sure to include plants, whether live or imitation. Live plants release oxygen into the water, but also require some care, and must be removed if they die. For a beginner, realistic looking plants Plastic is a good option. Place the largest plants in the back of the tank, and the smallest in the front.

Place the bell and lights at the top of the aquarium and plug everything in. You must ensure that all electrical wires are placed in such a way to have a trickle down "loop, so that if the water goes running towards them, dripping on the ground instead of in the outlet.

Well, we're ready to test. Cause the filters to be be filled with water have been filled, and activate the filters and / or air pumps. Check that they are working properly, and that water is flowing at the desired pace. Turn on lights, and make sure they are working. If water is a little cloudy, do not worry, it soon become clear. Set the thermometer according to the breeds of fish that have intend to maintain. Your fish store can provide this information if you can not find elsewhere. Most freshwater tropical fish as a temperature water in the range of 75-80F.

Assuming no problems are found, you can let your race team. I know you're anxious, but not rushing out to buy fish yet. Your aquarium should run for about a week before adding any fish. Leave the lights on about half of the day during this period.
